Ragi or millet is a traditional grain mostly grown in Rajasthan, Uttar pradesh, Haryana regions of India, which contains a lot of nutrients, such as vitamin, minerals.There are saveral types of millets available such as kodo millet, foxtail millet,finger millet. In this blog we are going to show one of the most healthy and delicious recipe made using finger millet. Finger millet dosa has all the nutrients and it is the healthy option for breakfast. It is also a better choice for those who want to keep a watch on their diet and weight loss. Along with delicious tomato chutney. 

Ingredients for ragi dosa:

Ragi flour/finger millet flour-2 cups

Rice flour - 1 cup

Semolina/sooji/rava-1/4 cup

Curd:3 tbsp

Cumin seeds:1/4 tsp 

Chopped Onlion:1

Chopped Chillies:2

Coriander leaves

Salt as required


 Method of preparation 

1.Mix Ragi flour, Rice flour, Semolina in a bowl. 

2.Add curd and water to make ragi dosa batter and consistency should be little thin. 

3.Add chopped onion, chopped chilli, coriander leaves and cumin seeds, if you prefer give tampering using these ingredients and mix in the batter. 

4.Add salt as required. 

5.leave the batter for 10 minutes to achieve better results. 

6.Make sure to mix the batter well otherwise only liquid content remains on the top. 

7.Then gently spread the dosa batter on hot tava and sprinkle few drops of oil to make dosa.

Ingredients for tomato chutney:

Rifened Tomato-4

Onion-2

Ginger Garlic paste-1 tsp

Chilli powder - 2 tsp

Oregano herbs-1 tsp(optional) 

Tomato sauce - 2 tbsp(optional) 

Gaggery powder - 1tsp

Salt as required 


Method of preparation:

1.In a pan saute chopped tomato, chopped onion on medium flame until the mixture gets tender and smooth. 

2.Add ginger garlic paste and saute again. 

3.Add chilli powder, salt as mentioned. 

4.Add Gaggery powder and mix well. 

5.Put oregano herbs to the mixture and then mix it well. 

6.Then add tomato sauce this is completely optional. 

7.Grind the mixture coarsely and avoid using water.
